The Philippine Youth Congress in Information Technology (Y4IT) is one of the biggest I.T event in the Philippines and I am happy to become a part of this momentous event.
My friend Edgar Pulido and I became part of the Technical Team of the said activity. We were headed by Mr. Abram Chua (Sir Bam) and we were tasked to create a video presentation and a software application needed for that event. Edgar Pulido and his partner Ryan Ravis (Camarines Norte State College) created the video presentation using Adobe After Effects while I and Evelyn Villarta (Camarines Norte State College) developed the application for use on the registration using VB.NET.
Aside from being a part of the technical team, of course we also enjoyed the topics discussed during the conference. The topics which really caught my attention are the following:
- JAVA FX
- E-learning 2.0
- Search Engine Optimization
- Cloud Computing
- Careers in Games
Topics like Ruby on Rails, Rich Web Applications and PhilNits are also nice, unfortunately I was not able to attend those discussions.
I’m looking forward to become a part of Y4IT Technical Team once again next year. Thanks to all our bosses at ITTC for giving us that opportunity. More power to Y4IT and the UP Information Technology Training Center.
